Along side Hwy169 in New Hope Mn is this sign for Al Franken that is about 40 feet up in a tree, it is pointed at the freeway, about 100' up the road from this Al Franken sign stands a shrine to the Virgin Mary. Only in Minnesota on a cold winter night I thought to my self, can the prayers of a comedian be heard.

As you know things aren't always the way the appear. Last night my daughter and grandson went to take photos with me, I like to take photos of theaters at dusk or night time. this one took three shots to make it work.

Old Bridge off of Normandale Blvd

This old bridge is located in Bloomington south of 100 at the very end of Normandale Blvd. Follow Normandale south all the way, it turns to the left after I think after River Bluff Estates gate, follow it down to dead end, (I parked on curb of street) Follow path about two blocks.




















You can also get some good photos of other river activeties from this location and I think it would be a good early morning birding spot.
